The AP30 is a 30 Watt monitor with coaxial loudspeaker. An additional high-tone speaker is located in the middle of the woofer which brings out the low and high tones to their best advantage. The loudspeaker is slightly tilted which ensures the best sound projection when it is placed next to the drummer.

The sound may be adjusted by means of the 3-band equalizer of the mixer section. Apart from the jack input for a drum kit or percussion pad, two additional inputs are included to connect a CD/MP3 player, keyboard or guitar. Two inputs have their own volume control. The controls are located on top of the monitor.
