LA Social are specialist corporate event and wedding entertainers based in Queenstown, New Zealand and performing all over the pacific at close to 200 private events every year. We’re New Zealand’s biggest troupe of high energy, professional and wildly fun musicians with a reputation around the world for being the best band our clients have ever enjoyed. Our passion is to perform the best possible songs for our clients, at the highest possible energy building to an overwhelming sense of the most fun night ever.

We're scouting for super positive, highly talented, motivated, singer front people, musicians and preferably multi-instrumentalists to join our teams in both supporting musical roles, fronting and band leading.

Role:

The people we engage, will be performing at some of the most awesome wedding events and gala dinners in New Zealand and internationally. Think Richie Mccaw’s and Ferrari etc. You’ll be working at a very high level, so great presentation and can do attitude are a must. Ideally we want people for the long term. It is summer-centric with the busy season running from January to April. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Playing your instrument to a high degree of proficiency and rehearsing the material to the point of not requiring sheet music/lyrics. 
• Band leaders/Vocalists will (after training) be able to pick the right songs for our different audiences to keep dance floors full. 
• Ability to setup PA system independently.
• Connecting with the audience and contributing to social media.
• Rocking a show not just an instrument - you’ll ideally need to be an energetic performer, not just a solid musician. You should be comfortable with fun stage antics and connecting to an audience.

Successful applicants must have:

​

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• A full NZ driving license and access to their own transport.
• Ability to travel for performances occasionally.
