The body is constructed from bright-sounding maple with a single piece mahogany neck. Gibson has outfitted the ES-175 with a set of vintage flourishes to match its classic tone. The inlays on the rosewood fretboard are elegant split parallelograms, and the body's white binding excellently highlights the natural grain of the maple. The trapezoid tailpiece follows the overall vintage character of the guitar, as does the vintage sunburst finish, vintage tulip-style tuners, and classic ABR-1 bridge.
