A modern version of the FL2 the FL1C designed by Amalia Ramirez departs from the usual spruce top, replacing spruce with cedar . This wood combination is popular in Spain where the typical Flamenco guitarist wears many hats. Whether it be a recital or to accompany a singer this guitar is not so dry as it's spruce counterpart.
