Guitarist seeking band members: noise rock, black/death metal, blues, experimental music

23yo male South Auckland based guitarist

Looking for likeminded people (similar music taste/aspirations) to collaborate and jam with. If all goes well, the goal is to develop original music, start playing gigs, and work towards recording an EP or full album.

Ideally you’re someone who wants to take music seriously, more than just a light hobby. Someone who can commit the time, be reliable, and is open to exploring different sounds while still wanting to make something raw and heavy.

I’m still developing as a guitarist and hungry to improv, move out of the intermediate stage. I have little to no stage experience but that’s something I’m keen to work on once we have a solid group on the same page musically and aspirationally.

Seeking:
∙ Guitar player (rhythm or lead)
∙ Bass player
∙ Drummer
∙ Vocalist (comfortable with black metal and death metal vocal techniques)

-open to other instruments (don't be shy to reach out)

Practice: Looking at a minimum of once a week, 2–3 hours a session. I’m unable to host but am willing to travel - ideally to someone central Auckland or close to it.

Gear: pretty basic at the moment just comprised of my guitar, amp, audio interface and laptop with FL studio.

The kind of stuff I want to make is rooted in these sounds:  heavy, raw, and atmospheric.  but I’m open to exploring beyond that. Think somewhere between abrasive and expansive.

At this stage I can’t host practices, but hopefully you can, or we can split the cost of a commercial space.
