The Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man 550 Tap Tempo was created in response to EH's difficulty obtaining the NOS IC's necessary to build the DMM Tap 1100. The DMM 550-TT shares everything with the Tap 1100 except for its maximum delay time (550ms for the 550-TT, 1100ms for the Tap 1100), making it much easier to produce in quantity. And not coincidentally, 550ms was also the maximum delay time for the original Deluxe Memory Man. With the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man 550 Tap Tempo you get all the delicious analog delay and modulation tones of the original, but with Tap Tempo (including 5 subdivision options), an FX Loop, True Bypass, a full range of controls, and five expression modes for Blend, Rate, Depth, Feedback, and Delay. The Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man 550 Tap Tempo may just be the ultimate analog delay pedal.
