Black Frog is run by one Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Fan with a passion for getting behind KIWI bands - Sarah Sampson.
I have been around the local Metal Scene since around 2008 when I became the Youth Rep for Auckland for the Heavy Metal Hard Rock Society (which sadly has now closed) After a year at MAINZ studying a Diploma in Music Event and Artist Management (where I got Merits for both Event & Artist Management) Black Frog came to life in Feb 2010 with my first show raising over $700 for Save the Children and their work in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
I am dedicated to the cause when it comes to raising the profile of NZ Hard Rock and Heavy Metal both within NZ and eventually internationally. I don't want to make this kind of music mainstream but I aim to make the rest of the world give our kind of music the respect that it deserves. I'm achieving this through the formation of Metalliance Touring in 2015 and in partnership with Terrorizer Metal Magazine (UK/US)

I have run over 40 gigs now with shows all over New Zealand - Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch and internationally in Sydney, Australia. The bands I manage (and have managed in the past) have played in Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Gisbourne, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Levin, and Wellington to name a few and internationally in Sydney and Melbourne. I have also achieved radio air play for them on all the local NZ Metal and Rock radio shows as well as extensive airplay in Australia, Asia and other countries Internationally.
The first international tour I did was with Anvil in 2014 in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Since then I have toured Stigmata (Sri Lanka) in 2015 and Tensions Arise (Australia) with 8 Foot Sativa earlier this year with Lycanthrope and Weight of Silence touring NZ in November 2016 with the Silence of the Wolves Tour. 2017 brings HEAPS more international bands to NZ and I can't wait to share who they are and the NZ Event partners I'm teaming up with to make these possible.

8 Foot Sativa, Sinate, Indread Response, Just One Fix, Pieces of Molly, Meat, Mutangent, Headroller, Kulus, Forsaken Age, His Masters Voice, Fallen Order, Stonehurst, Leathur Tattoo, Malevolence, Team Kill and the list goes on!
