MATURE DRUMMER WANTED

Our drummer has left because of an overdose of work commitments. We are 'Cross Eyed Gecko', a 100% originals band where creativity is a focal point. The music is past paced and energetic, reminiscent of 80's pop/rock -think Madness, Men at Work, Split Enz etc- while the lyrics tend to be humorous and quirky. We are all experienced musicians and mature enough not to take ourselves too seriously. However, we take the band very seriously and are very committed to take this thing as far as we can, without selling our identity. Currently we rehearse every Tuesday evening in Mt Albert, but this can be renegotiated for the right person. Our line up is: Bass, keyboards, guitar and saxophone.
The right person is:
1. A reasonably competent drummer
2. Mature. We are in our late 50's.
3. RELIABLE! (notice the capitals!)
We will likely stick with 1/week rehearsals because of work commitments and family. We aim to score a gig every month/ 5-6 weeks. This way, we keep it fun and exciting.
