The Penrose Underground

Welcome to the Penrose Underground 

We offer two new, well equipped purpose built professional music rehearsal rooms in a very comfortable and creative space with a cosy boutique feel. 

There’s plenty of free parking and easy one level access in and out all close to the Ellerslie off ramp on Aucklands State highway One at 700 Great South Road. Penrose. 

Each room comes included with PA system with mixer, Subwoofer 2 Mics and a basic drum set. Cymbals are not included as we do encourage you to bring your own gear however there are cymbals to hire along with guitar and bass rigs at reasonable cost and subject to availability if needed.

Room prices start at 60$/3hrs and are available from 11.00am through to 11.30pm 7 days. 

So no matter what your genre, be it funk, punk, reggae, hip hop, blues, metal or other, feel free to come and have a look. 

There’s also a cosy live stage with a view to DIY gigs in the very near future. (Conditions apply)
